William & Mary and Playfly Aspire Agree to Multi-Year Partnership Extension
August 1, 2023
ATLANTA, GA – William & Mary and Playfly Aspire have agreed to an extension of their multi-faceted partnership. In 2021, Playfly Aspire established an on-site fan relationship management center (FRMC) in Williamsburg to drive ticket sales across Tribe Athletics events. Playfly Aspire sales and service efforts helped drive William & Mary Athletics revenue up 14% year-over-year in FY23. Fiscal highlights for the annual campaign included significant increases in women’s basketball and men’s soccer sales as well as a near doubling of total group ticket purchases.
In addition to ticket sales, Playfly is also providing William & Mary Athletics with custom fan research. Playfly Aspire’s award-winning Strategy, Analytics, and Marketing (SAM) team embarked on a 3-year longitudinal study of William & Mary’s football fanbase in the fall of 2022. Recommendations from this study will help leadership improve specifically identified aspects of the Tribe’s gameday experience.
“We are honored to extend our great partnership with William & Mary. The first two years have been incredible, and we’re excited about the next four years and beyond,” said Playfly Aspire Regional Director of Sales & Service, Howard Ticker. “Thank you to William & Mary’s administration for trusting us to service and grow their and fanbase”
“Aspire has provided William & Mary Athletics with outstanding support as our student-athletes continue to deliver strong performances enroute to more success and more championships,” said William & Mary’s Athletic Director Brian Mann. “The W&M community has benefitted from Aspire’s high quality customer service and their innovative brand building programs. We are delighted to renew our partnership.”
