The Aspire Group Welcomes Back Bill Duffy as Chief Operating Officer

The Aspire Group (“Aspire”), a global sports and entertainment firm, is proud to announce the return of one of its founding members, Bill Duffy, in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer. As COO, Duffy will oversee Aspire headquarters operations and several business functions including Sport and Entertainment Business Insights and Asset Investment. Duffy will also be responsible for expanding the menu of services The Aspire Group offers its new and existing client partners. Duffy assumed the COO position on January 1, 2014, and brings over 25 years of senior level sports and entertainment experience to the job.

Soon after Chairman and CEO, Bernie Mullin, established The Aspire Group in 2008, Duffy joined as a Principal. During his tenure at The Aspire Group, Duffy worked with several clients including the NBA/WNBA, the NHL, Georgia Tech, Schlegel Sports and Atlanta Sports and Entertainment. After retaining the Charlotte Bobcats as an Aspire client in 2009, and facilitating the sale of the team and related assets to Michael Jordan, Duffy was hired by the Bobcats as full-time Executive Vice President and CFO/CAO. In addition to his four years with the Bobcats, Duffy has held executive positions with the Miami Dolphins, the National Football League, the San Francisco 49ers and the Atlanta Spirit (the Hawks, the Thrashers and Philips Arena).
