ATLANTA – Georgia Tech and The Aspire Group celebrated the two year anniversary of the first outsourcing of ticket sales in collegiate athletics this month at its Fan Relationship Management Center located on campus at Bobby Dodd Stadium.  Despite common buyer objections and continuing economic stress, Aspire was able to sell just under 1.5 million dollars in new ticket and related athletic donation revenue for the Yellow Jackets, a twenty five percent increase over the previous year’s outsource record sales.

“The economic downturn has put a strain on season ticket holder retention across the country throughout intercollegiate athletics. Aspire’s efforts have counteracted this downturn and enabled Georgia Tech to maintain strong relationships with even more of our fans,” said Dan Radakovich, Athletic Director for Georgia Tech Athletics.

In the past six months, Aspire has partnered with eight additional NCAA schools to build Fan Relationship Management Centers either on campus or operating remotely out of Atlanta. Each Center is customized to meet the needs of the partner, the constant being a manager and sales consultants dedicated to providing fans with excellent customer service and generating new ticket and related athletic donation revenues.

“I am thrilled with the results that our sales team produced for Georgia Tech,” states A.J. Smith, Manager of Georgia Tech Fan Relationship Management Center. “As an extension of the Georgia Tech athletic department, our mission is to know every Georgia Tech fan on a first name basis and build a personal relationship that creates fans for life. “

“The success at Georgia Tech is a direct reflection on Aspire’s rigorous staff recruitment and development process, it all ties back to hiring really good people then developing them and supporting them with the best systems and operating structure in the industry so that they can provide excellent sales and service support,” says Bill Fagan, General Manager of Fan Relationship Management, “Aspire is able to produce these outstanding results for our partners because we are not only in the ticket sales and service business but we also offer cutting-edge ticket marketing support.”
