Ball State and Playfly Aspire Add Multi-Year Extension to Partnership
August 8, 2023
ATLANTA, GA – Ball State University and Playfly Aspire have agreed to a long-term extension of their partnership. Aspire established a fan relationship management center (FRMC) on Ball State’s Muncie campus in 2019 to drive ticket sales to Cardinal sporting events and promote philanthropic support for the Cardinal Varsity Club (CVC). In the 22-23 season, Playfly Aspire helped increase Ball State Athletics revenue 12% year-over-year. Men’s basketball revenue growth of 36%, the highest women’s basketball revenue total in 15 years, and record-setting sales for both men’s and women’s volleyball drove the booming FY23 campaign.
With the extension, the Playfly Aspire leader at Ball State, Tyler Worley, has been promoted to Manager of Ticket Sales and Service, overseeing an expanded staff that will continue leading the FRMC and Ball State athletics to new heights. Playfly Aspire currently partners with five Mid-American Conference (MAC) members, and, to date, has driven over $22M in ticket and donation revenue throughout the conference.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Ball State University. It’s been an incredible partnership to date, and we are excited to be part of Jeff Mitchell’s vision moving forward,” said Playfly Aspire Regional Director of Sales and Service, Justin Morelli. “We take great pride in the responsibility that the Ball State administration has entrusted to us to serve Cardinal alumni, fans, and donors.”
“Playfly Aspire continues to be a great teammate for us at Ball State,” said Director of Athletics, Jeff Mitchell. “We are excited to advance this strategic partnership as both organizations are committed to promoting excellence through intercollegiate athletics. Ball State values Playfly Aspire’s leadership in helping us market and celebrate Cardinal athletics.”
