Richmond Spiders enter into multi-year ticket sales partnership with Aspire

(ATLANTA, GA) – The University of Richmond Athletics has reached a multi-year agreement with The Aspire Sport Marketing Group to boost ticket sales and attendance for football and men’s basketball.  The operation will be based remotely out of Aspire’s National Sales Center (NSC) in Atlanta, GA and be responsible for selling full-menu (seasons, minis, groups, singles) for the two sports.  Richmond chose to work with Aspire upon completion of its current outsourced ticketing contract.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Aspire as they have proven to be the industry leader in ticket marketing and sales services,” said David Walsh, Interim Director of Athletics for The University of Richmond Athletics. “This is a very positive step for our overall sales and marketing program.”

“Spider fans will be able to expect a knowledgeable group of ticket-service personnel to assist them in finding the right ticket package for their needs and completing the purchasing process,” said Scott Warner, Assistant Athletics Director/ Marketing & Fan Development. “We are also excited to partner with them for their consulting services to ensure that we are offering our fans innovative ticketing solutions to help them enjoy all the value that Richmond Athletics provides through our game day experience.”

Richmond marks Aspire’s 14th partner of 2017. The NSC, located in Aspire’s Corporate office in Atlanta, has partnered with 49 sport & entertainment properties for remote sales support and generated over $7 million in ticket revenue since 2012. The NSC is currently in its 3rd year selling for the US Open (tennis) and selling premium seating options for LiveNation at various venues across the U.S.
