Georgia Tech Athletics sign multi-year extension with Aspire
February 6, 2018
ATLANTA, GA – The Aspire Sport Marketing Group and the Georgia Tech Athletic Association (GTAA) announced a multi-year extension for its outsourced ticket sales and service contract. The Georgia Tech extension marks its fourth renewal since 2009 when it became the first outsourced ticket sales operation in collegiate athletics and Aspire’s first Fan Relationship Management Center (FRMC).
Aspire is responsible for new sales and retention for football and men’s basketball and provides supplementary support across all other ticketed sports. Additionally, beginning in 2017, Aspire also assists with recruitment and retention of donors to the Alexander-Tharpe Fund, the GTAA’s primary fundraising arm.
“I’m thrilled that we are extending our longstanding partnership with Aspire,” Georgia Tech director of athletics Todd Stansbury said. “For nearly a decade, Aspire has been an integral part of our goal to provide first-class customer service to our ticket buyers. As we continue to integrate our ticket and donor operations, we’re appreciative and excited that Aspire is also now a part of our efforts to serve those who wish to support Georgia Tech athletics through the A-T Fund.”
In 2017, the Georgia Tech FRMC broke the football single season and overall GTAA revenue records and achieved retention rates of 92.5% and 94% for football and men’s basketball, respectively.
“Over the past decade, Aspire and Georgia Tech have become interconnected. We are thankful to the Yellow Jackets administration for their continued faith in Aspire for delivering ‘next practices’ in ticket marketing, sales and service, paired with industry-leading strategic consulting and research services,” said Bill Fagan Chief Operating Officer. “We look forward to supporting Georgia Tech’s innovation focus while fostering an environment which makes The Flats the most fan-friendly environment in Atlanta thanks to the personal touch our sales and service team provides every day.”
Georgia Tech was one of the 12 renewed contracts for Aspire in 2017.
