AVA Digital Honors Aspire with Multiple Industry Research Awards

ATLANTA, GA – The AVA Digital Awards recognized The Aspire Group as a winner in two categories for its 2021 competition.
Aspire received the top honor of Platinum for their study, Fan Concerns, Expectations, And Intentions Around COVID Seasons. In response to the massive impact of COVID-19 on the athletics landscape, The Aspire Group looked to amplify the voice of the fan with a complimentary survey available to all sport properties. Throughout the pandemic, publications including the Atlanta Journal Constitution and Sports Business Journal showcased key findings from Aspire’s direct fan research. Sports Properties gained strategic guidance around requested safety protocols, return to venue likelihood, donation potential, and virtual engagement.
Aspire received the Gold Award for their case study, Talk To All Athletic Donors: It Pays Off. Published in the fall of 2020, this paper outlines the importance of donation activity in college athletics and how to achieve success in fundraising. It draws from both historic NCAA financial records and The Aspire Group’s own fundraising efforts across more than two dozen campuses to demonstrate a variety of successful approaches. The Aspire Group also hosted a complimentary roundtable discussion with leaders in the development field to further promote successful athletic fundraising strategies during the COVID pandemic.
