William Sutton
Principal, Bill Sutton & Associates & The Aspire Group Associate Dr. William A. A distinguished academician and a proven sports marketing practitioner, Sutton’s body of work includes notable academic appointments and extensive industry experience. An expert who educates and engages, Sutton possess a distinct combination of professional experiences that blend his savvy business acumen with his significant university credentials. His academic and industry career experiences are diverse and form a unique prism to observe the sports marketing and sports business landscape. Sutton’s consultation work has spanned the industry, working with professional leagues, teams, organizations, brands, universities, agencies, and facilities. Dr. Sutton currently holds an appointment as Professor and Associate Department Head on the faculty of the DeVos Sport Business Management Graduate Program at the University of Central Florida and is the founder and principal of Bill Sutton & Associates, a consulting firm specializing in strategic marketing and revenue enhancement. His consulting clients include the NBA, WNBA, NHL, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, MSG Sports, Pittsburgh Pirates and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Michael DitchfieldAspire Associate, Michael Ditchfield, is an internationally acclaimed speaker, author and expert on customer service. The former professional footballer (soccer player) for Blackburn Rovers FC and field goal kicker for the NFL’s Denver Broncos is a successful entrepreneur operating multiple restaurants and a personal training business in Denver, Colorado. Formerly, Michael was a lecturer at Johnson and Wales University on “How to Deliver Superb Customer Service” and “Maintaining High Consumer Retention”. Michael graduated from Bradford University, England with a B.A. in Education and studied for a M. Ed. at Pennsylvania State University where he also coached varsity men’s soccer. In his early career he was Director of Player Acquisition and Development for the Denver Avalanche of the Major Indoor Soccer League and served as the color analyst for KGWN TV and KOA Radio broadcasts. He moved onto sport and entertainment promotion and operations with Professional Event Management Inc., where he was responsible for organizing and marketing Pre FIFA World Cup International soccer exhibitions at Mile High Stadium and numerous concerts. He also had a stint with Scheer Sports promoting the Denver Marathon, Formula One races, plus indoor professional soccer and minor league hockey in Charlotte, North Carolina. A highly respected humanitarian, Michael now spends a significant portion of his time volunteering on numerous projects in Africa and serving on prestigious boards, most notably the 16th May Foundation in Sudan, whose purpose is to draw world attention to genocide.
